Dobrasevic Food Company

What does this mean? Produce! Fresh, locally-grown produce delivered to my front door every Saturday. It competes with or beats the prices at the grocery store, and delivery is free. It also builds Michigan's economy....sadly, it could use a bit of a boost. really. I originally was introduced to "fresh delivered produce to your door" by Amy E. (my sis) who participates in a program similar to this in Pittsburgh. When I moved here last summer I looked for a company to do this for our family. Nothing. That is until last week.....thank you Pam! (she gets a box too)
Today I got my first box. I am so excited! Strange to be excited over this??? No way.
This is AWESOME in my book!

Vinegar Coleslaw

I always get excited about recipes that my family loves. Bryan will not eat anything with mayonnaise it. My friend Cally gave me this recipe for coleslaw that I hoped would be a winner.
Here is the recipe- I don't know the name. I made a few small changes to the original.

1 head cabbage shredded
1 carrot grated
1 finely chopped onion (I use a small onion)
3/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. oil
1 T. salt
1 T. celery seed
1/2 c. sugar ( I use 2/3 c.)

In a large bowl combine cabbage and carrot. Set aside. In a saucepan, combine remaining ingredients. Turn on heat and bring to a boil. I boil it just for about a min. to slightly soften the onion. Take off heat and immediately pour over cabbage and carrot. Set a plate on top big enough to cover the bowl and set in fridge 24 hrs. Before serving separate coleslaw from dressing with a slotted spoon and transfer into serving dish. Pair this up with your favorite wrap or sandwich. We tried it as a topping for a BBQ beef sandwich. Devour. :o)

Just because...

This will be the last of the toothless grins at my house. At least until I am old and can take out my dentures. As of this past weekend, all my children now have teeth. :o( or :o) I have mixed feelings about this. Vivienne had her 9 month check up.
16 lbs. 11 ozs.
26 1/2 inches long
and her head was in the 25% (can't remember the measurement)
This picture resembles the most excited she ever gets. She is so calm. I hope I don't live to regret bragging about this all the time......
I just really needed one of the calm types aka little people in my home and I got one.

And, the camera did go missing, my friend found it in her couch, along with her phone......and we bought a new camera and have Bryan's work to thank for that one. It's a fun camera....takes great shots.....Here are some shots we took to play around with out new toy!

Harley....handsome little devil. Truly. Still not housebroken and chewing everything up that he gets his jaws around. This too shall pass.

Valentine's Day Roses.....from my Best Friend.....Joe.....oops, I mean Bryan! ;o)

It's....it's.......my replica.....ahhhh! She should only stay this way a few more days...I didn't hit her back too hard.
I love you Alyssa!
