Peace and Proof

Today was a pleasant day. Let me re-phrase...... The entire day today was a pleasant day. I have a had a handful of these since moving. Actually since Bryan left to do his rotation in Utah his last year of school over a year and half ago.

Bryan didn't work today, I slept in. Woke up. He went back to sleep. I got the kids ready for church. There was no screaming or name calling. Alyssa wanted her hair done and asked me to help her. I didn't have to re-direct Mason away from the computer or TV a thousand times reminding him "it's Sunday, read the Friend or your Highlights." Vivienne got in a great nap before I got her dressed. I didn't have to wake her. Even Harley was good. I haven't taken one shoe away from him all day. I wore a dress that was too small for me when I bought it 2 years ago (it was my inspiration to tone up, dress). But then I got pregnant and it has been hanging in my closet looking cute ever since. Until today. I felt great. I was actually able to listen at church today because my kids were cooperative. I came home, Bryan and I cooked in the kitchen, together (very rare). And Alyssa fell asleep at 7:30 on the couch.....yes, you read that right! 7:30! Hallelujah! A good sleep was calling her name. And did I EVER enjoy the peace! And I caught up on blogs and friends and that felt great. Tomorrow is a new day, but I am optimistic. I just had to record a day like today. When I am having an off day and hear about all the wonderful things that everyone else does, I can remember this day, and know that I am not a stranger to blessings and fortunate things.

The calm in the storm.........





My baby Cupcake is one year old today! Everyday I am grateful for her. She puts a smile on my face always and I never take her for granted. She is truly a dream child. She is a peacemaker and her sister and brother adore her. I love that she brings us all together!

Hollywood Studios

We finally made it to Disney World. We went with Dave and Susan (Bry's sister) and there four kiddos. Trisitn, Brandon, Shaylee, and Kaitlyn. Our first stop was Disney's Hollywood Studios. I kept calling it Planet Hollywood and eventually MGM would just come out. I was all tongue twisted.
We had planned to go to a diner. We all sat in cars to eat our meals and watched old horror clips. It was mostly about UFO's, and Blobs......scary!
